Free & Fit Summer Camp - Friday 13th July - Self Control & Empathy - Lynn Baker I can’t help but be impressed by the service and fellowship I witnessed from the youth group on Friday at the end of the camp week. The kids piled into cars and headed down to the Center for Food Action in Englewood.to make a donation of collected food items. Once there, they split into two groups. One industrious group went plogging in the park in Englewood, cleaning up 10-15 bags of litter. Another group worked in CFA’s garden. Along with the help of CFA volunteers and staff members, they weeded, mulched, planted, and harvested. Despite a few bugs, a great time was had by all and they went home with a bulb of garlic as a souvenir. Groups of kids then fellowshipped at the church by presenting their week-long projects to family and community members. This time of food and fellowship was a great culmination that showcased their work for the week and that demonstrated the supportive community surrounding your ministry. Thank you, Tim, for allowing me to be a part of witnessing these character-filled, honest, and hardworking teens and preteens as they seek to make a difference in the world.
