Free & Fit Stretching In Silence finding Salvation

Scripture Reference ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:10‬ “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.””

The process of finding a quiet sacred space can remind us of Gods invitation to us to go into our own room, shut the door and pray. However, what if our rooms were outdoors, in the gym or on the field. What if our doors were metaphors for guarding our hearts, finding inner peace and access to God. It is with this specific type of mediation, movement and moment with God we believe stretching, praying in silence and seeking God can lead us to Salvation. That through the practice of praying silently in a scared space you can truly find salvation whilst praying and stretching.

When slowing down we can sense the speed of our heart rate during our workout and become more aware of Gods presence. By being still and knowing, identifying and recognizing the presence of the Holy Spirit we become more sensitive to Gods voice. As the Flock of his Sheep we can be listening to God and God can become more accessible to us in silence. The practice of praying and stretching is not a new one, but the idea that it can lead to salvation maybe an idea that needs re-visiting. When we contemplate in action we can find real freedom and celebrate Gods love for us. Truly helping us to find our Saviour Jesus Christ in silent and sacred spaces.

As I complete the Faith & Fitness as one curriculum I must not forget to offer our participants the opportunity to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through the simplicity of the Forgiveness and Salvation Prayer we can invite Jesus Christ into our lives for the first time as our Lord and Saviour.

Verses for Forgiveness

1 John 1:8-10 (NIV)

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

Prayer for Forgiveness

Heavenly Father, O Lord Almighty, hear my prayer. I have a burden on my heart, a sin to confess. For I am human and sinful and don’t always live up to who you want me to be. I come before you today with a humble heart to confess the mistakes I’ve made, both by what I’ve done and by what I haven’t done. O Lord, hear my prayer and forgive my failings. Lead me to do better and not repeat these mistakes. Help me to live a life that better reflects you. For you are faithful and just, loving and compassionate. O Lord, in your mercy, forgive me and purify my heart. Amen.
