Today’s verse is Isaiah 51:12-13 & 52:12!
“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies. And of a son of man who is made [as destructible] as grass, That you have forgotten the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens And laid the foundations of the earth, That you continually tremble with fear all day long because of the rage of the oppressor, As he takes aim to destroy? And where is the rage of the oppressor?”
Isaiah 51:12-13 AMP
“For you will not go out in a hurry [as when you left Egypt], Nor will you go in flight [fleeing, as you did from the Egyptians]; For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.”

Prayer & Reflection: We can often carry heavy burdens on our own, forgetting God and failing to seek forgiveness. Not because we believe we don’t deserve it, or because we feel so much guilt or shame, but just that what we have done shouldn’t interrupt God and that we then end up not wanting to bother God.
We fear we may have caused an inconvenience or perhaps a penalty which is not worthy or notice. My friends dont be fooled, we can not be fooled and you and I must turn back to God. We need to fear less, and have more faith in God!
This is why I am so grateful for ancient practices like the Examen from Saint Ignatius. Recently, whilst I was on retreat I was reminded of this simple, but important practice and in todays scripture the passage cries out to God in the simplicity of honesty, seeking forgiveness and saying the Lords Prayer. So, however you do it, which ever way you feel most comfortable seek forgiveness this day and everyday from the Lord for he is willing and able to forgive.
Seek the Lord, do good and repent of even the little things so not to hold onto something which later may become a stronghold.
Lets be like the Israelite people waiting upon God to faithfully hear, forgive and help us overcome fear:
“Just as many were astonished and appalled at you, My people, So His appearance was marred more than any man And His form [marred] more than the sons of men. So He will sprinkle many nations [with His blood, providing salvation], Kings will shut their mouths because of Him; For what they had not been told they will see, And what they had not heard they will understand. [Rom 15:21]”
Isaiah 52:14-15 AMP
Lets seek the Lord today for our Daily Bread, for the Forgiveness of our Sins as we Forgive those who Sin against us in Jesus name. Amen
Let us Pray…
Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment]. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]’”
