Free and Fit Challenge - Hoboken Proposal - by Tim Cheux

Free and Fit Challenge - Hoboken Proposal - by Tim Cheux

The mission of Free and Fit is reduce loneliness through Sports, the Arts, Social Justice and Service. My proposal is to work as an independent sub contractor (Tim Cheux) supporting the City of Hoboken in its work to serve the people of Hoboken. This would either be through self support fundraising, a new 5013C or a commercial legal entity.

Sports

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. 2 Timothy 1:7 Through Sports it would be my mission to follow a Christians in Sports philosophy to have every church member on a Zog Sports Team, a member of a local gym or running club. It would be great to do monthly Sports events of our own with spectator and participant activities. In addition, I would offer personal discipleship training to our church members on a one to one basis offering the Free and Fit curriculum. Similar to what we do in a Saturday morning and in the city on a one to one basis. The Arts

So God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that moves on the ground—to everything in which there is the breath of life— I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so [because He commanded it]. Genesis 1:29-30 Work with local High School, College age and young adults to create a Faith and Artists network. Each sphere of society has Christians represented and the Arts in its fullness can include Film, Media, TV, Radio, Multimedia Art, Stained Glass, Pottery, Paint, Photography and many more different expressions of Artistic talents. Social Justice

The Levite, because he has no share [of land] or an inheritance among you, and the stranger, and the orphan and the widow who are within your [city] gates, shall come and eat and be satisfied, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. Deuteronomy 14:29 Partnering with organizations such as the Hoboken Shelter, Housing Authority, Hoboken Mums, the Hoboken Town Council and Emergency Services we would work with the local organizations to build new incentives the church can support, volunteer and help organize to reduce poverty, inform, educate and equip people on the streets, in crises and in need of help and assistance. The over arching roll would be to build an equip a volunteer network the church could provide to the Hoboken community. Service

When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord. Psalm 102:22 The Church is the Bride of Christ and we want to see it unite for Christ. Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Pentecostal, Anglican, Lutheran or any other Christian denominational background as a Church we need to unite for Christ. Focusing on Rowan Williams four main similarities within the Church of Bible, Baptism, Communion and Prayer. With Prayer and a 247 prayer room being a huge focus for prayer gathering and these things to happen. The opening of a 247 prayer room in Hoboken could be a part of the larger Christian Community. This could be houses by different churches and manned by F&F.Similar to Shelters which could also provide refuge for others on rotation also. Youth Alpha and Senior Citizens Alpha

Kings of the earth and all people; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and virgins; Old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted and supreme; His glory and majesty are above earth and heaven. Psalm 148:11-13  Another great option is Youth Alpha and working with True Mentors, High Schools and local Churches to unite and offer a course which can serve all Churches. Similar to a Senior Citizens Alpha for the elderly and retirement age people of Hoboken. Both courses could be run in the 2018-2019 academic calendar year. Other Opportunities

Now He who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing [that is, your resources] and increase the harvest of your righteousness [which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love]. 2 Corinthians 9:10  Hoboken is full of Pizza Places, Coffee Shops and Restaurants. We could provide a Hoboken walking tour to Coffee Shop, Restaurants and Pizzareias! In partnership with the Hoboken Museum, volunteers from the Network and Free & Fit we could help run and coordinate events like this. Love and Blessings F& F Team.
