Merry Christmas from Free & Fit

Today we all have expectation of what is to come tomorrow. The wrapping, the stuffing and the preparation are complete at dinner time. We all gather around the table for a meal, whether alone, with family or friends, we find ourselves seeking, searching and soon to be deep into our Christmas dinner.

The time is here, the table is set and we come expectant to be filled with a feast. Yet, we may not perceive what is happening in the midst of tradition, trimmings and tender pieces of food that have been especially prepared for us. Through a meal, through a full appetite and through the consumption of the food we leave the table ready to take a nap before the inevitable re-run of our favorite Christmas movie. However, we can not miss the main meals purpose, promise and perfect gift that was made for us at Christmas.

The meal bring us much expectation, the tradition brings us familiar feelings of nostalgia and the time of year raises all our temperatures due to the lights, special adverts and increasing amount of intensity of the season.

As Christians, as believers in Jesus Christ a true understanding of the coming of Christ into the world and through the season of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love through Advent we have all celebrated the true meaning of preparation. Why it is that we truly celebrate is not just the reason for the season, but the true revelation of Gods love to save us from ourselves. To ultimately save us from Sin and Death.

To accept Jesus at Christmas, is to believe a mere little baby came into the world in a small town named Bethlehem and fulfill what was the ultimate sacrifice of all. That the creator of the universe would send his answer to our imperfections, the answer to all our failings and reconcile humanity back to himself. This is best expressed through the infamous scripture of John 3:16.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

(John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬).

Tomorrow always celebrate Christmas in awe of what God has done for us, making space for him at the table as room was made for him in the manger and as he made a room for us in heaven. Prepare a way to celebrate the Christ child tomorrow as he is the one true Savior of the whole world.

Jesus helps us believe Hope is for all Humanity, Jesus restores Peace in the midst of conflict, Jesus brings pure Joy to the World and Jesus is the true refection of Gods love for you and I. Jesus is the Savior of the Whole World! Come Lord Jesus, Come to us again this Christmas!

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.

He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.”
